We get it. It might be your first time doing a segway tour, it might even be your first time in South Florida! Questions are encouraged! Here's what we get asked all the time:
Where does the tour take place?
The tour starts at Colee Hammock Park just south of Las Olas Blvd. in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Parking is limited so rideshare is preferred, but there are some free spaces at the park, and paid street parking.
How many people can go on a tour?
We can take up to 4 riders on a tour! If you have a group of 5 or 6 riders, those groups CAN be accommodated but ONLY upon email request: vamossegway@gmail.com. If your group is larger than 6 riders, we typically take riders in shifts.
Do I need to have experience riding a segway?
No experience needed! Each tour will start with a hands-on lesson, where you can learn how to ride a segway. Most people agree they are much easier to learn than a bicycle; you'll exploring the city in no time!
What do I need to wear?
Close toed shoes are preferred! Pants are also preferred, but neither are necessary. Hats are not necessary as you will be wearing the provided helmets, although some people do wear a hat underneath.
What's your cancellation policy?
Any tour is allowed to be cancelled with a full refund 24 hrs. or more before the start time.
What about rain/severe weather?
It's Florida, the weather is unpredictable and can change fast! Every tour scheduled is a Vamos! (Let's go!) until otherwise informed, (light) rain or shine! If there is rain in the forecast, your guide will reach out 2 hrs. before the start time and make a decision. Any tour that is cancelled due to weather will be rescheduled, or refunded.
